In the global bullion market, gold rose by $72.50 per ounce, reaching $4,175.30 an ounce, providing fresh momentum to precious metal prices worldwide.
Following the surge in international rates, Pakistan s local gold market also witnessed a substantial increase. The price of gold per tola climbed by Rs7,250, taking it to Rs439,966.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs6,525 to reach Rs375,947.
The sharp rise comes just a day after the market experienced a major correction. On Thursday, the per-tola gold price had fallen by Rs9,720, settling at Rs432,716.
Market observers said the latest recovery reflects the continued volatility in global precious metal markets, where investor sentiment, economic uncertainty and movements in international demand continue to influence prices.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved higher in the local market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs190, reaching Rs7,079.
The latest fluctuations highlight the rapid shifts currently being witnessed in precious metals markets, with both gold and silver responding to changing trends in global trading.
