On the directions of the Lahore Police Command, actions against lawbreakers continued throughout the year on scientific and modern lines.

According to a spokesperson, during 2025 the Mobile Squad arrested 2,286 proclaimed offenders, 1,475 court absconders, and 281 habitual criminals.

With the help of the e-Police software, the records of more than 4,305,300 individuals were checked during 2025, while 878,844 vehicles and motorcycles were also inspected.

During operations against narcotics, 902 bottles of liquor, 230 kilograms of hashish, 5 kilograms of ice (crystal meth), and 60 kilograms of other drugs were recovered. These operations were carried out by the Mujahid Squad.

In the campaign against illegal weapons, 195 pistols, 96 rifles, 48 pump-action guns, and dozens of bullets and magazines were seized.

The spokesperson said that in 2025, action was taken against 24,798 vehicles with black papers and 56 vehicles fitted with blue lights.

According to the SP Mobile Squad, operations are also ongoing against stolen vehicles, tampered vehicles, and those bearing fake number plates with the help of the e-Police software.

SP Akhtar Nawaz stated that the identification of criminals and absconders is continuously being carried out through the e-Police post software installed at the city’s entry and exit points.

He further said that rude behaviour with citizens and unnecessary checking at checkpoints has been strictly prohibited. All checking at checkpoints will be carried out within the framework of the law, and no citizen will be unnecessarily harassed or troubled.

SP Akhtar Nawaz emphasized that zero tolerance is being observed against misconduct with citizens, abuse of authority, and corruption.
