He welcomed all international guests and opened his address by highlighting the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He said children, women and civilians were facing devastation while global institutions remained silent and powerful governments stood indifferent. He stated that the Holy Land had been taken away from Palestinians and described the global powers behind it as a coalition similar to the forces created after the Second World War. He said that while such a coalition was reshaping itself today, a coalition of humanity would resist it.
Hafiz Naeem paid tribute to activists across the world, Muslims and non Muslims, who he said continue to raise the banner of humanity despite severe risks. He described them as soldiers of humanity and thanked the delegates for their efforts, particularly those involved in the Samud Freedom Project.
Speaking on Kashmir, he said the occupation was no different from Gaza but the world remained indifferent. He said one million Indian military and paramilitary personnel were violating basic human rights on a daily basis. He called for the Kashmir freedom movement to be taken to the global level and reiterated the need for a UN mandated plebiscite. He highlighted Islam’s vision of justice, equality and humanity. He said the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) established a model society in Medina where people from diverse backgrounds lived as one community. He stated that Islam unites and does not divide, and that Jamaat e Islami stands with every individual who resists oppression, regardless of religion or background.
Hafiz Naeem said the world needs a system that addresses both material and moral needs, adding that Islam offers a balanced approach. He said history shows that whenever the Muslim Ummah unites, the world changes, and whenever it loses direction, humanity suffers.
He described Generation Z as a new hope, noting their global activism against injustice, racism, war and environmental destruction. He said they are an investment in the future.
He presented three pathways for humanity: continuing with the current global order, falling into misguided new experiments, or returning to the divine system which ensures justice, accountability and the circulation of wealth. He said Islam is not only a belief system but a complete moral and civilizational project.Hafiz Naeem outlined several roadmaps for global cooperation. These included a united voice against oppression, a shared narrative for Gaza, Kashmir, Rohingya and Sudan, joint intellectual and political efforts, mobilization of youth, women and scholars, and preparation of an alternative narrative to counter global propaganda.
He said the struggle ahead is difficult but not impossible. He acknowledged the presence of non Muslim delegates and said justice has no boundaries and humanity is universal. He said unity is based on conscience, not faith alone.
Concluding his speech, he said the session marked the beginning of new relationships, strategies and global collaboration. He presented several questions for further deliberation, including mechanisms for cooperation among Islamic movements, coordination during global crises and creation of long term structures for collective action.
Hafiz Naeem proposed the establishment of an umbrella coordination office in Pakistan to serve as a hub for communication and strategy. He said Jamaat e Islami is ready to facilitate this initiative if all delegates give their consent.
He prayed for the success of global efforts for justice and thanked the participants for their presence.
