Dar was received in Madinah by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq and Consul General Mustafa Rabbani.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office of Pakistan, the OIC session will focus on the implications of Israel’s recognition of the so-called Somaliland region of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
During the meeting, the deputy prime minister is expected to present Pakistan’s position on the Somaliland issue and engage in discussions with fellow OIC member states.
On the sidelines of the conference, Dar will also hold bilateral meetings with foreign ministers of OIC countries to explore cooperation on regional and international matters.
In addition to attending the OIC meeting, the deputy prime minister is scheduled to inaugurate the new building of the Pakistani consulate in Jeddah during his visit.
