A JI delegation led by JI Pakistan Deputy Ameer Liaquat Baloch has arrived at Punjab House in Islamabad for the negotiations.
The JI negotiating team includes Syed Farasat Shah, Nasrullah Randhawa, Inayatullah Khan, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate and Naveed Ali Baig.
The government’s negotiating team is being led by Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal. Rana Sanaullah Khan, Ali Pervez Malik and Bilal Azhar Kiani are also part of the government team.
The talks between the government and JI over the removal of the petroleum levy began on September 7.
JI has announced an Islamabad march on September 20 if the government fails to abolish the petroleum levy.
