Addressing millions of supporters, including women, children, and overseas attendees, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman emphasized that true development in Pakistan is unattainable as long as the country remains under the grip of feudal, bureaucratic, and capitalist interests.
Tomorrow, we will introduce a complete program for Pakistan, encompassing political, economic, educational, and local government reforms, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman declared. Our future system will serve the common people, not the entrenched interests of a few powerful families or groups.
He further highlighted that in the forthcoming system, no officeholder be it a minister, prime minister, or president, will enjoy exemptions from the law. The supremacy of law will prevail over every individual, he said.
During his speech, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman stressed that no human can surpass divine law, and under the shadow of Minar-e-Pakistan, millions pledged not to accept any authority above that of Allah. He underscored that leadership in Jamaat-e-Islami is based on principled struggle and public service rather than inheritance or dynastic succession, which, he argued, cannot bring genuine transformation.
Referencing global politics, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman noted that Pakistan should not fear America or blindly support UN resolutions that conflict with the nation’s principles, citing the recent vote on Palestine as an example.
Concluding his address, he reaffirmed Jamaat-e-Islami’s commitment to peaceful awareness campaigns and nationwide efforts for systemic reform. He highlighted key issues such as education, workers’ rights, feudal control over farmers, and bureaucratic dominance as the pillars of the movement.
