In response to the emergency, a special emergency ward has been set up at Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC). The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has placed all hospitals on high alert, directing doctors and paramedical staff to remain available round the clock.

Emergency, surgery, orthopedics, and blood bank units have been ordered to stay fully operational, with a steady supply of medicines, medical equipment, and surgical tools ensured.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army and local administration are actively assisting residents who were forced to temporarily evacuate the area. So far, at least 35 people have been safely moved to secure locations, while many others are still awaiting rescue.

Affected families are being provided with food, warm shelter, blankets, sweaters, and bedding, as officials work to keep transportation and relocation efforts smooth and uninterrupted.

According to Secretary Relief KP, Sohail Khan, rescue teams from Peshawar, Nowshera, Swabi, and Mardan have reached the site with over 50 personnel, 16 ambulances, and heavy machinery. Ten trucks loaded with essential relief goods have also been dispatched.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) confirmed that intense snowfall forced the closure of Tirah Road, causing vehicles to remain stuck for hours. District administrations, along with Rescue 1122, are carrying out recovery operations despite slippery roads and harsh weather.

Rescue 1122 has deployed 15 trained personnel, recovery vehicles, ambulances, and lifesaving equipment from Peshawar.

The Director General PDMA has instructed all district authorities to stay alert, as the situation is being closely monitored across the province. Officials warn that continued snowfall and road conditions may further disrupt movement, urging citizens to avoid unnecessary travel.

As the rescue mission continues, authorities stress that saving lives remains the top priority, while efforts are underway to restore road access and bring stranded travelers back to safety.
