Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir warmly welcomed the Libyan delegation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its bilateral relationship with Libya. He highlighted Pakistan’s consistent support for peace, stability, and the strengthening of national institutions in Libya.

Both sides underlined the value of continued engagement between the armed forces of the two countries, noting that regular interaction helps build confidence, improve understanding, and address evolving security challenges more effectively.

The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the longstanding friendly ties between Pakistan and Libya and a shared desire to further expand defence cooperation.

Earlier, upon arrival at Noor Khan Airbase, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu-al-Qasim Haftar was received by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The Libyan commander paid tribute to the Shuhada by laying a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial at GHQ, honoring their sacrifice and service.
