Federal Minister for Energy, Owais Leghari, along with Ali Pervaiz Malik, shared the decision while speaking to the media in Islamabad. The announcement has been welcomed as a timely step to bring comfort and calm to households observing the fast.

Owais Leghari stated that there will be no electricity load shedding during Sehri and Iftar, emphasizing that facilitating citizens in Ramadan is a top priority. “Providing relief to fasting families is not just a policy choice, it is a responsibility,” he noted. He added that a monitoring system is fully active to keep a close watch on all feeders, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted power supply when it matters most.

Ali Pervaiz Malik, addressing concerns over gas shortages, said that practical arrangements have already been finalized to maintain stable gas pressure during key hours. According to him, gas will be available from 3:00 a.m. until 10:30 p.m., allowing families to prepare meals for both Sehri and Iftar without stress or last-minute hurdles.
