According to the Foreign Office, the Prime Minister will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. He is also scheduled to chair a joint investment conference aimed at deepening economic cooperation and expanding bilateral trade and development projects.

Officials said the core objective of the visit is to further strengthen Pakistan–China relations, but the evolving situation in the Middle East will also be a key point of discussion during talks.

Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan and China have already reached a five point consensus on recent regional developments, which was earlier issued in a joint statement. He added that both countries have maintained close coordination during the ongoing crisis and are expected to continue consultations during the visit.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said several countries are making efforts to help end the conflict in the region, noting that Pakistan currently holds a central role in diplomatic engagement.

In parallel developments, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir recently arrived in Tehran, where he held meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had also visited Tehran earlier.

The series of back-to-back diplomatic engagements highlights intensified regional diplomacy, with Pakistan emerging as an active link between key stakeholders including China and Iran amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
