Responding to media questions about recent developments in the Taiwan Strait, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that Pakistan and China share an iron-clad friendship and are all-weather strategic cooperative partners.
‘The Government of Pakistan reiterates its consistent and unwavering support for China on all matters related to its core national interests, including the Taiwan issue,’ the spokesperson stated.
He emphasized that Pakistan has always stood by its principled position, adding that the country will continue to strictly adhere to the One China Policy. ‘Pakistan views Taiwan as an integral and indivisible part of China,’ he said.
The spokesperson further noted that Pakistan remains deeply committed to peace and stability in the region and is determined to further strengthen its strategic partnership with China through mutual trust and cooperation.
Pakistan’s stance reflects its long held diplomatic position and underscores the depth of bilateral ties between Islamabad and Beijing, which are often described as a relationship built on mutual respect, shared interests, and enduring friendship.
