In the second of three match series between Pakistan and South Africa, Pakistan scored 269 runs on the second One Day International (ODI) at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
Saim Ayub and Salman Agha made 53 and 69 respectively to stabilize the innings after early dismissals of Fakhar Zaman with zero, Babar Azam with 11 and Mohammad Rizwan with four.
Mohammad Nawaz later contributed 59 and Faheem Ashraf gave 28 to enable Pakistan to attain a competitive score against the Proteas.
In the case of South Africa, Nandre Burger had four wickets, Nqabayomzi Peter had three and Corbin Bosch had two.
Previously, Pakistan had won the toss and decided to bat first.
Reigning champions Pakistan are up with a 1-0 lead following the two-wicket victory at the first ODI in Faisalabad on Tuesday. South Africa had batted first in that match and had given a target of 264 in 49.1 overs and Pakistan had reached the target in 49.4 overs and lost eight wickets.
