During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on regional peace and stability, diplomatic ties, and the promotion of mutual cooperation. The Chinese ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to reduce tensions between the United States and Iran and to facilitate communication, assuring full support from China in this regard.
On the occasion, Ishaq Dar highlighted the longstanding and strong relationship between Pakistan and China, stating that the “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership” between the two countries plays a vital role in ensuring peace and development in the region. He emphasized that continued high-level engagements would further strengthen bilateral ties.
Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in various sectors, particularly in economy, trade, and diplomatic coordination.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two leaders agreed that dialogue, diplomacy, and cooperation remain the only effective means to address current challenges. They expressed their resolve to continue joint efforts for regional peace and stability and agreed to maintain close contact in the future.
Separately, Ishaq Dar also held a telephone conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, during which they discussed ongoing regional tensions and their possible implications.
Pakistan’s increasing diplomatic engagements reflect its intent to play an active role in promoting peace and reducing tensions in the region, while also pursuing a policy of strengthening its relations at the global level.
