According to the Foreign Office, the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding represents a strong foundation based on mutual respect and understanding, and all signatories should honor the commitments made under the agreement.

The spokesperson added that the memorandum provides an important framework not only for regional stability but also for promoting global peace and prosperity.
The statement comes a day after the US military launched multiple strikes in southern Iran. Iranian authorities confirmed that eight military personnel were killed in the attacks.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump declared that the ceasefire with Iran was effectively over and warned that the United States could launch additional strikes against Iran later that night.
