According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir attended Christmas celebrations at Christ Church, where he extended warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to members of the Christian community. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief of Defence Forces paid tribute to Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, highlighting his vision of equality, freedom, and religious tolerance.

He emphasized that safeguarding the rights of minorities is not only a constitutional duty but also a moral commitment rooted in Pakistan’s founding principles.

Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights to all citizens, regardless of faith or belief.

He praised the Christian community for its valuable and lasting contributions to the country’s development, security, and progress.

He especially acknowledged the generations of Christians who have served in the Pakistan Armed Forces with honor, courage, and distinction, calling their services a source of national pride.

Underlining the importance of interfaith harmony, he described it as Pakistan’s true strength. He noted that national unity grows when people rise above religion, race, caste, and creed, and stand together on shared constitutional values and equal opportunities.

Reaffirming the commitment of the armed forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir said the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in upholding the dignity, safety, and equal rights of all citizens as enshrined in the Constitution.
