Speaking to the media near Dhangi Naka close to Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar clarified that his visit to the jail was solely to check on the well being of PTI founder Imran Khan. He expressed concern that what should have been a simple inquiry is being unnecessarily blown into a larger political issue.
‘Our only aim is to ensure the health and safety of our leader, but this matter is being escalated beyond reason,’ he said.
Barrister Gohar revealed that discussions have now reached the level of five senior leaders, yet attempts are being made to stir unrest. He highlighted that the true strength of PTI lies in the unwavering determination of its workers, and the public continues to stand firmly alongside them.
In a firm statement, he announced that a countrywide shutter-down strike will be observed on February 8, signaling the public’s resilience in the face of state pressure.
He also urged authorities to facilitate a meeting between Imran Khan and his sisters, emphasizing the human and family aspect of the situation.
Barrister Gohar concluded by reiterating that internal party discussions should remain private and that politicizing every step only leads to confusion and division.
