The meeting was also attended by Director General Sports Punjab, Khizar Afzal Chaudhry, along with other senior officials. Detailed discussions were held on how technology can be used in a practical and effective way to improve the sports system across the province.
During the briefing, Time Technologies informed the minister that the proposed mobile app will allow online booking of sports complexes, grounds, and other facilities. This step is expected to make access easier for players and the public while reducing delays and manual work.
The app will include asset management, personnel management, and data recording features, ensuring that all sports-related assets are properly documented under a digital system. A reporting and analysis module will help authorities make decisions based on real data rather than guesswork.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that data-driven decisions are the need of the hour. He emphasized that the government is working to make the sports system transparent, organized, and accountable throughout Punjab.
He further stated that every player should have a unique and permanent digital identity, adding that a strong digital database is essential for the promotion and fair management of sports. According to the minister, digital systems can play a key role in reducing corruption and poor management.
The provincial minister directed the DG Sports Punjab to remove all technical gaps and prepare a final, complete draft of the project at the earliest, so the initiative can move forward without delay.
