President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and members of the federal cabinet warmly received President Zhaparov upon his arrival in the federal capital.

A 21-gun salute was presented in his honour, while children dressed in traditional attire welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers.

President Zhaparov is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including senior cabinet ministers, top government officials, and leading business figures.

This marks the first presidential visit from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan in nearly twenty years. The last such visit took place in January 2005.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier announced that the Kyrgyz president is undertaking his maiden state visit to Pakistan from December 3 to 4, with key engagements scheduled with Pakistan’s top leadership.

During the visit, President Zhaparov is expected to hold a one-on-one meeting with the President of Pakistan, followed by delegation-level talks with the Prime Minister. He will also address the Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum.

Discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation in trade, energy, defence, education, people-to-people exchanges, and regional connectivity.
