In a statement released on Thursday, ISPR said that on 29 January 2026, security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in the Harnai and Panjgur districts. As a result, 30 militants were neutralized in Harnai, while 11 others were killed in Panjgur during separate engagements.
The military’s media wing stated that the operations were aimed at dismantling terrorist networks operating in the region. In Panjgur, several militant hideouts were destroyed, dealing a serious blow to their operational capacity.
ISPR confirmed that a large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the slain militants, indicating their involvement in violent and subversive activities. The forces, the statement added, targeted the hideouts with precision, ensuring effective neutralization of threats.
According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, security forces also recovered looted cash obtained during a bank robbery carried out by the militants. The recovered amount was linked to a bank heist in Panjgur on 15 December 2025, marking a key breakthrough in the case.
ISPR further stated that clearance operations are ongoing in the area to track down any remaining militants. The actions are part of Operation Azm e Istehkam, under which Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign continues with full resolve.
The military reiterated its commitment to eliminating terrorism from the country, stating that such operations reflect the unwavering determination of security forces to restore peace, protect citizens, and deny space to extremist elements.
