Addressing a press conference in Quetta, the CM said that in light of the recent developments in several cities, it was important to inform the public about the facts.

He first expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs, assuring them that the state and the government share their grief equally and that the welfare and care of martyrs’ children have always been, and will continue to be, the responsibility of the state.

Bugti paid tribute to the bravery of the security personnel, including police, Frontier Corps, and Navy, emphasizing that they faced the operations with extraordinary courage, professionalism, and determination.

The Chief Minister revealed that security agencies had prior intelligence indicating planned large-scale terrorist attacks. Acting on this information, preemptive operations were launched a day earlier, during which nearly 60 terrorists were killed in the Shabaan and Machh areas.

He added that terrorists had planned coordinated attacks in Machh, northeastern Quetta, and other sensitive locations. However, due to the swift response of the security forces, no incidents occurred in these areas, and the terrorists failed to achieve their objectives.

Bugti described a particularly tragic event in Gwadar, where a Baloch family from Khuzdar residing in a labour colony became a target of terrorists. Despite the family pleading for their lives, terrorists brutally killed five women and three children.

He emphasized that those claiming to act in the name of Baloch identity have no connection to Baloch traditions, culture, or history. “This is not a freedom struggle; it is purely a war of terror. Terrorists have no nation, no tribe, and no gender,” he stated.

The CM accused India of backing terrorist groups and stated that whenever Pakistan progresses economically or diplomatically, such incidents are engineered to destabilize the country. He claimed that individuals like Basheer Zeb, Allah Nazar, and other elements are working on India’s agenda.

Bugti informed that 17 security personnel, including police, FC, and a Navy officer, were martyred during the operations. Additionally, 31 civilians lost their lives, with several others injured.

He noted that the Quetta Safe City project had been significantly upgraded, providing timely information to the forces. Terrorists also targeted Safe City cameras, which proves that the system has become a threat to them.

He announced that the Safe City project would be completed in more cities across the country by June 30.

The Chief Minister made it clear that no political dialogue with terrorist organizations is possible, describing them as neither registered political parties nor social service organizations. “They want to impose their ideology through the barrel of a gun,” he said.

He further stated, “If dialogue means that the state surrenders, Pakistan is ready to fight this war for a thousand years but will never surrender.”

Bugti mentioned that following the withdrawal of U.S. and NATO forces from Afghanistan, modern weapons fell into the hands of terrorists and are now being used against Pakistan. Initial reports suggest that Afghan terrorists were also involved in recent incidents.

In conclusion, the Chief Minister asserted in strong terms that Pakistan is not weak and will not tire. “We will bring terrorists to justice. Security and development will go hand in hand, and Balochistan will, God willing, return to peace,” he said.
