According to PHA officials, the unsettling episode occurred a few days ago, with some parents and bystanders seemingly more interested in recording the event on their phones than preventing it. Several videos of the act have also surfaced on social media, raising public concern.

Taking immediate notice, PHA Managing Director Raja Mansoor Ahmed ordered strict action against those responsible for failing to maintain park discipline.

As a result, the park’s security supervisor, Imtiaz Hussain, has been suspended for negligence in duty.

A PHA notification stated, ‘It was the duty of the security supervisor to uphold order and prevent such incidents in the park. Due to clear dereliction of responsibility, he is hereby suspended with immediate effect.’

Authorities also confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway to ensure more robust measures are put in place, aiming to prevent similar incidents in the future.

This incident has sparked widespread debate on social responsibility, the role of guardians, and the importance of respecting national symbols in public spaces.
