Police blocked the road leading to Adiala Jail as part of tight security arrangements for the scheduled visiting day.

Imran Khan’s sisters, Aleema Khan, Noreen Khan, and Uzma Khan arrived with PTI supporters but were stopped by police at the Factory Checkpost.

Following the restriction, the group staged a protest, vowing to remain there until meeting permission is granted.

Protesters said the right to meet Imran Khan should not be treated as a favor but as a lawful entitlement. They accused the authorities of using security as an excuse to shut the door on basic rights.

The district administration has placed the jail area on high alert, enforcing Section 144 and deploying a heavy police presence on all access routes.

Anti riot barriers have been installed at Gorkhpur, while additional police units have been stationed at key checkpoints. A water cannon has also been positioned outside Jail Gate No. 5, signaling readiness to deal with unrest.

Sources said jail authorities had received a list of PTI leaders a day earlier who were scheduled to meet Imran Khan. The list reportedly includes Barrister Gohar and five other party leaders.

As the standoff continues, the protest has become a test of patience on both sides between a state determined to control the situation and supporters insisting that silence is no longer an option.
