Tragic Collision Near Jhang, Veterinary University Bus and Wagon Crash Claims 14 Lives, Over 20 Injured

A horrific collision near Quli Faqeer in Jhang has left 14 people dead and more than 20 injured when a bus belonging to the Veterinary University collided with an oncoming wagon. According to rescue sources, the Veterinary University bus was en route to Lahore when it crashed head on with the approaching wagon.

Reports suggest that the wagon, attempting to overtake a tractor trolley, collided with the bus.

The devastating accident also injured over 20 passengers, who were immediately given first aid before being transferred to the DHQ Hospital for further treatment. Rescue officials confirmed that the deceased included men, women, and children.

Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz instructed that the injured students and passengers receive the best possible medical care.

She also directed the Deputy Commissioner of Jhang to closely monitor the treatment process and submit a detailed report on the incident.

Jhang DPO Captain (R) Bilal Iftikhar Kayani and Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar Bhinder reached the site promptly. Authorities have launched a formal investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident.
