A meeting chaired by Ishaq Dar was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Pakistan’s proposed programme for the UN General Assembly session was discussed in detail.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Foreign Secretary and Additional Secretary for the United Nations briefed the deputy prime minister on Pakistan’s planned engagements during the General Assembly session.
The briefing covered details of high-level meetings, bilateral engagements and other key diplomatic activities scheduled on the sidelines of the General Assembly.
Ishaq Dar reviewed the proposed programme and issued necessary instructions regarding its priorities and arrangements.
He directed all relevant officials to maintain close coordination and ensure full preparations for Pakistan’s effective and active diplomatic participation during the high-level session of the General Assembly.
According to the Foreign Office, arrangements were also reviewed to effectively advance Pakistan’s diplomatic priorities and important bilateral and multilateral engagements on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly session.
