The incident took place near Saroaki in Gujranwala. The driver died on the spot, while 11 passengers, including university students and staff, sustained injuries.

According to reports, both buses were travelling from Gujrat to Ali Pur Chattha when the driver of one bus suddenly fell ill. As he lost control of the vehicle, it rammed into another bus moving on the same route.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The passengers aboard both buses were mostly students and staff members of the University of Gujarat.

The incident has once again highlighted concerns over passenger safety and the need for regular health checks for drivers, particularly during long-distance travel.
