According to family sources, his funeral prayers will be offered on Sunday, May 17, after Zuhr prayers at Jamia Ashrafia in Lahore.

The APNS stated that through Urdu Digest, Qureshi played a historic role in promoting serious journalism, intellectual debate and literary values across Pakistan.

The organisation praised his editorial vision, integrity and dedication to responsible journalism, saying these qualities earned him immense respect among journalists and readers alike.

APNS leaders termed his passing an irreparable loss for Pakistan’s journalistic and literary community, while extending condolences to the bereaved family and praying for the departed soul.
