Speaking at the VivaTech technology conference in Paris, Bezos rejected the idea that AI will lead to large-scale unemployment. He said the technology will open new opportunities and expand the use of human skills across industries.

Bezos added that many people fear AI will make humans unnecessary, but he strongly disagrees with that view. According to him, AI will actually create a shortage of workers by giving rise to entirely new industries and sectors.

He also referred to his new AI company, Prometheus, which focuses on automation systems and the use of artificial intelligence in manufacturing.

However, some experts and organizations have warned about the potential downsides of AI. The UK’s Trades Union Congress has said that without proper regulation, AI could negatively affect job quality and availability.

Bezos also spoke about his long-term space ambitions, saying the Moon could become a major hub for human activity and future infrastructure. He suggested that lunar resources could eventually support rocket fuel production and space development.

Meanwhile, his space company Blue Origin recently faced a setback after its New Glenn rocket was damaged during ground testing, though Bezos said there were no casualties and the company expects to resume launches soon.

At the event, humanoid robots also attracted attention, with companies from China and France showcasing systems that respond to human brain signals. Experts say this could open new possibilities for human-machine interaction beyond traditional AI systems.
