Speaking at an event in Islamabad, the minister said that China has helped revive Pakistan’s economy through the China Pakistan Economic Corridor which has brought investments worth sixty billion dollars. She said that this investment gave new energy to Pakistan’s entire infrastructure network. She added that the second phase of CPEC is now in progress.
The minister said that Zong has also made major investments in Pakistan under the 2030 Digital Roadmap. She said that the government is moving the Digital Nation agenda forward with success.
She said that work on satellite internet has been sped up and that AI based cloud services are likely to become available by the middle of next year. She repeated that the auction for the 5G spectrum is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
