The footage was reportedly recorded on Sunday, when Trump attended the final round of a golf tournament at his Bedminster course.

The War Zone said a short-range Avenger air defense system could be seen in the background of footage showing Trump at the golf club. Other videos reportedly showed a Sentinel air defense radar deployed nearby. The website reported that the White House confirmed the authenticity of the footage.

F-16s intercept aircraft near golf club

Security concerns around Trump’s presence at the golf club became more apparent on Sunday when F-16 fighter jets operated by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) intercepted two civilian aircraft that entered a temporary restricted airspace around the golf club.

NORAD said on X that the aircraft were safely escorted out of the restricted airspace.

Fox News reported that the two aircraft were intercepted near Trump’s private golf club, where the president had been spending the weekend.

NORAD also urged pilots to check Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) before every flight to ensure they are aware of temporary airspace restrictions.

Earlier, on August 1, the White House had released footage showing Trump speaking with US troops at Bedminster, with an Avenger air defense system visible in the background.

During the interaction, Trump jokingly said he was not worried about missiles and drones. A military official then gestured toward the air defense system behind them and indicated that security measures were already in place.
