According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday, the second and third T20 Internationals will take place on October 31 and November 1 at Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium. The toss will be held at 7:30 p.m. local time, while the first ball will be bowled at 8:00 p.m.

Following the T20I series, both teams will compete in a three-match ODI series scheduled for November 4, 6, and 8 at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium.

Before the white-ball contests, the two sides faced off in a gripping two-match Test series — part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 — which ended in a 1–1 draw. The hosts clinched the opening Test in Lahore by 93 runs, while the visitors bounced back strongly to win the second Test in Rawalpindi by eight wickets.

Historically, Pakistan and South Africa have met 24 times in T20 Internationals, with both sides winning 12 matches each — a testament to their intense rivalry. On home soil, Pakistan has the upper hand, winning two out of three encounters.

Among the current Pakistan squad, skipper Babar Azam has amassed 447 runs in 13 matches against South Africa, while pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi has claimed 13 wickets in 12 outings.

Speaking to PCB Digital, captain Salman Ali Agha expressed confidence and excitement ahead of the series: “The boys are pumped up. Some players have returned to the squad while a few new faces have joined in. I’m thrilled to lead this talented group, and we’re all looking forward to an exciting series,” he said.
