Right hander Hasan Nawaz has been dropped out of the national squad in order to play in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, the first class championship whose seventh round will commence on 11 November.
He has been replaced with left-handed opener Fakhar Zaman in the lineup of the T20I, and no replacement of the ODI team has been announced.
In recent times, Pakistan has just completed a home series against South Africa that was also a very important preparation process. Not only did the hosts win both the T20I and the ODI series by a margin of 2-1 and the Test matches 1-1.
ODI is a series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka that will take place in Rawalpindi on November 11, 13, and 15.
ODIs between the two teams have been played 157 times, with Pakistan registering 93 win and Sri Lanka registering 59 wins, four being drawn and the other one in a draw.
The two sides will also be joined after ODI leg by Zimbabwe in the T20I tri-series beginning November 17.
The initial two matches will be held in Rawalpindi, and the rest of the matches as well as the final will be held in the Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore, scheduled or November 29.

Ali Naqvi will also be the match referee of the three match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka that will be held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium between 11 and 15 November.
England Alexander Wharf of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires will be the referee of the first ODI in addition to Pakistan Asif Yaqoob (ICC Emerging Panel). Third umpire will be the Saikat Sharfuddoula of Bangladesh, which is also on the ICC Elite Panel; the fourth umpire will be Rashid Raza (ICC International Panel).
In the second ODI on 13 November, Saikat Sharfuddoula and Faisal Afridi (ICC International Panel) will do the duty of the on-field umpires, and Alexander Wharf will be the third and Asif Yaqoob will be fourth umpires.
On 15 November, Alexander Wharf and Rashid Raza will be the on-field umpires and Saikat Sharfuddoula and Faisal Afridi will be the third and fourth umpires, respectively.
