According to the Council of the European Union, the targets of the sanctions include extremist Israeli settlers and organizations involved in the forced eviction of Palestinians, property seizures, and the establishment of illegal settlements in the West Bank.
The European Union has also added the Nahala Settlement Movement and its head Daniela Weiss to the sanctions list. According to the Council, the organization has been encouraging the eviction of Palestinians from their lands and the establishment of controversial settlements.
Similarly, sanctions have been imposed on the Israeli NGO Regavim and its director Meir Deutsch. The EU says the group has been waging a legal and political campaign to demolish Palestinian property and expand Israeli control in the West Bank, while also pushing for the demolition of a Palestinian school built with EU funds near Bethlehem.
Another group targeted by sanctions is Hashomer Yosh, whose president, Avichai Suesa, is accused of supporting violent Israeli outposts and settlements in the West Bank. According to the EU, the group has been recruiting armed volunteers and providing support to those involved in attacks on Palestinians.
The United Nations has reportedly added Israeli entities to the same blacklist that includes Hamas and ISIS over allegations of sexual violence in conflict zones.

In addition, sanctions have been imposed on the cooperative association Amana, which is affiliated with the settler movement Gush Emunim.
According to the EU, the group has played a key role in the establishment, financing and expansion of at least 30 controversial and violent outposts and settlements.
The European Union has said that under these sanctions, the assets of the relevant individuals and organizations will be frozen, while travel restrictions will also be imposed on these individuals.
It should be recalled that the European Union introduced a global human rights sanctions system in 2020, under which action can be taken against individuals and entities involved in genocide, crimes against humanity and other serious human rights violations.
The European Council has previously strongly condemned the violence and expansion of illegal settlements by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
