This is an outrageous statement that is totally absurd and ridiculous, according to what enough spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baqaei said Wednesday in the form of a weekly press conference on Monday, it is a part of a larger campaign to ruin the relations of Iran with other countries.
This was said following the accusation by Washington on Friday that Tehran had planned the assassination of the Israel envoy in Mexico City. Israel foreign ministry subsequently appreciated the Mexican authorities to have prevented a terrorist network organized by Iran.
The foreign ministry in Mexico replied that it had received no news of the supposed plot, and the Iranian ambassador in Mexico dismissed it as a tremendous big lie.
It was disrupted earlier this year and at the end of 2024, a US official alleged that the Quds Force, the special unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, had initiated the plan. The US version has it that the operatives were recruited in the embassy of Iran in Venezuela, a country under the leadership of President Nicolas Maduro, who is a close ally of Tehran.
The whole situation was artificial, said Baqaei repeating the denial of Tehran.
The allegations come after months of tension between Israel and Iran. In mid-June, Israel proceeded to launch a massive bombing campaign against Iran leading to a 12 day conflict which was briefly joined by the United States in bombing the Iranian nuclear plants. Since June 24 a ceasefire has existed between the two countries.
