Iran s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has warned that any interference by the United States in the Strait of Hormuz would be met with an immediate and decisive response from the Iranian armed forces.

In an official statement, the military command said the Strait of Hormuz falls within Iran s undisputed sovereign jurisdiction. It added that all vessels, including oil tankers and commercial ships, must follow the maritime routes and navigation regulations designated by Iranian authorities to ensure safe passage.

The statement further warned that any vessel deviating from the approved shipping lanes or ignoring Iran s navigation protocols could face an immediate and firm response from Iranian forces.

Iran also criticized the continued presence of US fighter jets and drones over the Strait of Hormuz, describing their operations as a threat to regional peace, stability, and the security of one of the world s most strategically important waterways.

Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi claimed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that surveillance and control of the Strait of Hormuz are conducted under Iran s authority rather than by the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

Meanwhile, maritime unions and shipping companies announced that despite the ceasefire between Iran and the United States, the Strait of Hormuz will continue to be treated as a war operations zone for at least the next eight days following recent attacks on two commercial vessels.
