According to Iranian media, President Pezeshkian made these remarks during a meeting with Amir Hatami, where he praised the performance, bravery, and sacrifices of Iran’s armed forces during recent tensions.

The president stated that during the alleged US-Israeli aggression against Iran, the armed forces demonstrated “decisive, intelligent, and deterrent” strategies, which prevented the enemy from achieving its objectives.

He further said that the Iranian armed forces, particularly the regular army and the Revolutionary forces, had shown high operational readiness, intelligence superiority, strong command coordination, and effective combat capability, thereby strengthening national defence.

Pezeshkian described national unity, defence preparedness, and military strength as fundamental pillars of the country’s peace and stability, stressing that the role of the armed forces is critical and strategic in the current regional situation.

He emphasized that the government will fully support all plans aimed at improving defence infrastructure, modern equipment, logistical support, and combat readiness, in order to enhance Iran’s deterrence capability.

During the meeting, Major General Amir Hatami briefed the president on the latest operational situation, defence measures, and actions taken against hostile movements.

He said that Iran’s armed forces are fully on high alert and prepared to deliver a “decisive and regret-inducing response” to any threat, aggression, or hostile action.

Hatami further added that during the ceasefire period, military units have been reorganized, combat capabilities strengthened, and coordination among different branches of the armed forces improved.

He reaffirmed that Iranian forces will not hesitate to make any sacrifice in defence of the country’s security, sovereignty, national dignity, and territorial integrity.
