According to media reports, the US President once again criticized NATO, saying that the alliance did not support the US in opening this important sea route, through which almost one-fifth of the world s oil passes.

He said that Japan, unlike NATO, is moving forward in this matter, and does not intend to deploy US troops at any location, while describing the ongoing military operation against Iran as ahead of time.

He repeated past claims that the US can target the Kharg Island whenever it wants, from where 90 percent of Iran s crude oil is exported.

On the other hand, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said during a press conference at the White House that in the current global situation, only Donald Trump has the ability to establish world peace.

He said that the world is going through a serious security situation and the global economy may face a major setback.

Sanae Takaichi said that his visit is to convey the message directly to the US president that the international community wants peace.

He also said that Japan is in contact with Iran, but condemns Iranian attacks on Gulf countries and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
