The ministry said a total of 14,796 violations were recorded across the Kingdom during the week, including 7,504 residency violations, 3,783 border security violations and 3,509 labour law violations.
Authorities also arrested 1,273 people for attempting to illegally enter Saudi Arabia. Of them, 55% were Ethiopian nationals, 44% were Yemenis and 1% were from other countries.
Another 25 people were arrested for attempting to cross the Saudi border into neighbouring countries.
The Interior Ministry said 21 people were also detained for attempting to provide illegal residents with transportation, accommodation, employment or shelter.
Saudi authorities warned that anyone facilitating the entry, movement or accommodation of illegal residents could face up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million Saudi riyals. Vehicles and properties used in such violations may also be confiscated.
The ministry urged citizens to report suspected violations by calling the toll-free number 911 in Makkah and Riyadh, while 999 or 996 can be used in other parts of the Kingdom.
Saudi authorities reiterated that providing travel, housing or employment facilities to illegal residents is a criminal offence and that strict action will be taken against those involved.
