Responding sharply to Trump’s remarks, Larijani described the statement as blatant interference in Iran’s internal affairs. He said the U.S. president’s conduct is not only provocative but also part of an ongoing conspiracy against the Iranian people. Larijani added that the real forces behind bloodshed and instability in Iran are the same global powers that have, for years, targeted Iranians through sanctions, pressure, and external intervention.

This reaction came after President Trump posted a message on his social media platform, Truth Social, urging Iranians to continue protesting and to “save the names of the killers and abusers,” warning that they would “pay a big price.”

In his message, Trump announced that he had canceled all potential meetings with Iranian officials due to the ongoing crackdown on protesters. He wrote, “Iranian Patriots, keep protesting; take over your institutions. Help is on the way.”

Trump further stated that he would not engage in any dialogue with Iranian authorities until what he described as the “senseless killing” of protesters stops. He concluded his message with the slogan “Make Iran Great Again.”

It is worth recalling that on Sunday, Trump had indicated his willingness to engage in talks with the Iranian government and said contacts had been established in this regard. However, just two days later, he dismissed the prospect of negotiations, stating that diplomacy would not be productive under the current circumstances.

The ongoing protests in Iran initially erupted over economic grievances but later evolved into broader political demands. The situation has drawn international reactions, while Tehran has described the U.S. statements as “psychological warfare” and an attack on Iran’s sovereignty.
