He asserted that America is now the most respected nation in the world, its spirit and morale soaring higher than ever before. According to him, there is no military on earth like the U.S. armed forces.

Delivering his remarks aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, Trump emphasized the deep ties between the U.S. and Japan and the unmatched strength of the American military. Speaking in his signature style, he said,

“We will no longer be politically correct. When it comes to America’s defense, we will protect our nation by every possible means.”

Standing alongside Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Trump described the U.S.-Japan alliance as “one of the strongest partnerships in the world.” He reiterated that this friendship emerged from the devastation of war and has now become a foundation for peace and stability across the region.

The president went on to announce that he had approved the first batch of missiles for Japan’s Self-Defense Forces’ F-35 fighter jets, set to arrive later this week. Jokingly, he added,

“The Prime Minister is a tough negotiator — but I’m pleased that the missiles for Japan’s forces will be arriving ahead of schedule.”

Highlighting economic cooperation, Trump mentioned that Toyota was working on a $10 billion investment project in the United States. With a grin, he said, “The Prime Minister told me Toyota is setting up new auto plants across America, so I’ll just say this: go out and buy a Toyota!” Trump asserted proudly that “America is now the most respected country in the world.” He reflected that “we have come from being a nation no one respected, to one where people take pride in joining the military, the police, and the fire departments.” Speaking of U.S. military power, he declared, “There is no force like the American military. If any nation dares to challenge us, our sailors will destroy them.” He added with a hint of humor, “Everyone said I deserved the Nobel Peace Prize — though perhaps, after this statement, that chance is gone.” In her address, Prime Minister Takaichi noted that Japan now faces an extraordinarily dangerous security environment. She emphasized, “Peace cannot be achieved through words alone, but through steadfast resolve and decisive action.” She vowed that Japan would fundamentally strengthen its defensive capabilities and play a more active role in ensuring peace and stability in the region. As the event drew to a close, the iconic song “YMCA” played, prompting Trump to dance with American troops to the crowd’s delight. Concluding his speech, he declared, “We stand strong and proud with our Japanese allies. We will fight, we will win, and we will keep America’s honor high.” After the ceremony, President Trump departed for Tokyo aboard the Marine One helicopter.
