In his statement, he said that the Iranian people have proven not only during the past 37 days but also in the past several decades that they are extremely patriotic and capable of giving a befitting reply to their enemies.

The spokesman strongly criticized US President Donald Trump s recent threats, calling them a reflection of a  criminal mentality .

He said that threatening to target a country s vital infrastructure and energy sector is actually tantamount to endangering the entire population.

He said that such statements not only incite war but may fall under the category of  war crimes and crimes against humanity  under international law.

It should be noted that this statement by the Iranian spokesperson has come at a time when tensions between the United States and Iran are at their peak and both sides are exchanging harsh statements, which is making the situation in the region even more serious.
