Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari, speaking from Iran’s Khatam al Anbia Central Headquarters, delivered a blunt warning, any attempt at a ground attack or occupation would turn U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf into ‘shark food.’
The statement comes amid reports suggesting that the Pentagon has been preparing for weeks of potential ground operations in Iran. Iranian officials emphasized that Trump’s repeated threats to target Iranian territory and capture islands in the Gulf are merely ‘fantasies’ that will ultimately fail.
‘The Iranian military has long been ready to prove that aggression leads only to humiliation and destruction for the invaders,’ the spokesperson added.
In response to these perceived threats, Iran has strengthened its defensive positions across the country, including the southwest border near Iraq, where U.S. bases are present, and the southeast regions near the Strait of Hormuz.
The latest warnings highlight the delicate balance in the region, as both sides signal readiness but also restraint, leaving the world watching closely for the next move.
