According to US media reports, the American military launched a large-scale aerial operation in central Syria, employing fighter jets and helicopters to strike multiple ISIS positions.
Officials said the attacks targeted key ISIS headquarters, weapons depots, and military installations, and described the operation as successful.
US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said the operation has been named “Operation Hawk Eye Strike”, with the objective of fully dismantling ISIS’s core infrastructure.

The strikes come after a joint patrol near the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra (Tadmur) last week, during which a shooting incident resulted in the deaths of two US soldiers and one other American citizen. The incident prompted expectations of a strong US military response.
Following the airstrikes, US President Donald Trump stated that the offensive against ISIS is being carried out in full accordance with prior commitments and emphasized that those who attack Americans will face an even harsher response.
He also noted that the Syrian government is fully supporting US operations in the country.
Meanwhile, the Syrian government announced that military operations against ISIS would continue across the country.
