According to a report by British news agencies, the US has spent more than $11 billion in the first six days of the war against Iran.

The report said that US senators were told during a secret briefing on Capitol Hill that the costs in the first six days of the war had reached about $11.3 billion. However, this amount does not reflect the full cost because it does not include the costs of deploying military equipment and preparations before the war.

US Defense Department officials told lawmakers that a large number of expensive and advanced weapons were used in the initial phase of the war, which led to a sharp increase in daily costs. According to defense officials, about $5.6 billion worth of weapons were used in the first two days of the war alone.

According to the report, the initial attacks also used advanced weapons such as AGM-154 glide bombs, which are estimated to cost between $578,000 and $836,000 per unit.

In addition, relatively low-cost weapons such as the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) were also used, the warhead and guidance kit of which can cost up to $39,000.

According to analysts, the continuous air operations and the use of advanced weapons cost about $3.7 billion in the first 100 hours of the war, an average of about $891 million per day.

According to the report, the war costs could also create a new political and financial conflict in Washington. Congressional aides say that the White House may soon request additional funds to continue the war and that an additional amount of about $50 billion is likely to be requested for this purpose.

Meanwhile, US lawmakers have expressed concern that the current pace of the war could also put pressure on the US military s weapons stockpiles. US President Donald Trump has recently met with the heads of seven major defense industry companies to increase weapons production.
