He alleged that PTI ‘resettled terrorists’ and claimed that its leader repeatedly referred to terrorists as martyrs, while failing to utter even a single word for the soldiers who laid down their lives for the country.
Highlighting the government’s performance, Tarar said that 2025 proved to be a year of strength and stability for Pakistan. He noted that when the country was standing on the edge of economic collapse, the present government stepped in and pulled the economy back from the brink. According to him, the damage caused by bankruptcy would have been beyond imagination.
The minister pointed out that Pakistan’s stock market is touching new highs, reflecting growing investor confidence. He added that in December alone, the country received $3.6 billion in remittances, a clear sign that overseas Pakistanis trust the current economic direction. He criticized PTI’s past leadership for discouraging Pakistanis abroad from sending money home.
Speaking on foreign relations, Tarar said that the Prime Minister’s overseas visits have opened new doors for trade and cooperation.
Malaysia has shown interest in importing halal meat and rice from Pakistan, while the restoration of international flights has boosted economic activity. He added that several countries are now eager to cooperate with Pakistan in both trade and defense sectors.The minister said Pakistan was once pushed into diplomatic isolation, blaming the previous PTI government for damaging foreign relations. In contrast, he said, Pakistan is now regaining respect on the global stage. He termed the privatization of PIA a major milestone, adding that overseas Pakistanis now take pride in investing in their homeland.
Tarar also praised Pakistan’s defense capabilities, stating that the world acknowledged Pakistan’s military strength after Indian fighter jets were shot down. He said the green passport is once again gaining dignity, while defense agreements with Saudi Arabia and growing trade ties with Malaysia reflect successful diplomacy.
Calling 2025 a landmark year, he said Pakistan achieved major victories on military, economic, and diplomatic fronts. He praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for leading the armed forces with resolve and determination, saying that enemy plans were crushed under his command.
Turning his criticism toward the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Tarar described it as narrow minded and ineffective.
He condemned incidents involving the harassment of women during recent events in Lahore, stating that targeting women is an act of cowardice and that real strength lies in respectful dialogue.He reiterated that terrorism continues to haunt the nation due to what he called the political wing of ‘chaos and disorder.’ He accused PTI leaders of avoiding clear answers whenever the issue of the banned TTP is raised. In contrast, he praised the Awami National Party (ANP) for its sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, recalling that its leaders carried the coffins of their loved ones.
The minister concluded by declaring PTI’s 12 year rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a failure, saying governance, healthcare, and education are in poor shape, while Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan are witnessing visible development and progress.
