PTI Karachi spokesperson Fauzia Siddiqui told Express News that preparations for the rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah were no longer possible. Therefore, PTI will hold a public rally at the Quaid-e-Azam public gate on Sunday at 2 PM, where the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, will also be present.

She stated that the Sindh government showed malicious intent in issuing the NOC, which was granted late on Sunday evening at 6:30 PM. She added that the Sindh government is intimidated by public strength, but Karachi’s public will gather at the Quaid-e-Azam public gate on Sunday.

Meanwhile, PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh said in a press conference that the Sindh government had assured permission from the beginning, but the NOC was not granted even after preparations were complete. Provincial Minister Nasir Hussain Shah had assured that permission would be granted; however, the police blocked preparations at Bagh-e-Jinnah and locked the gates.

On the other hand, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon stated that the NOC for the rally was issued with specific conditions. He emphasized that the organizers are responsible for maintaining law and order during the rally, and inciting speeches, sectarian material, or anti-state rhetoric will not be allowed.

He added that traffic management and concluding the program on time are also the responsibility of the organizers, and the district administration has the authority to cancel permission for security reasons.
