Under the revised rates, petrol will now cost Rs331.20 per litre, while high-speed diesel will be priced at Rs390.45 per litre.
According to the notification, the new prices will remain effective for August 18.
The latest increase comes as global oil markets remain volatile amid renewed tensions in the Middle East and disruptions to energy supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has now begun publishing petroleum prices on a daily basis under the government's new pricing mechanism, allowing changes in international oil prices to be passed on to consumers more quickly.
Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said the daily prices are calculated on the basis of a seven-day average of international market prices, in line with international practice.
Under the new mechanism, OGRA is authorised to announce daily ex-depot prices for petrol and HSD without prior approval from the prime minister or federal government.
However, prices notified on Fridays will remain unchanged on Saturdays and Sundays.
The government had previously followed a fortnightly fuel pricing mechanism before shifting to weekly reviews after the outbreak of the Middle East conflict on February 28.
The conflict disrupted energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy route through which around one-fifth of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas supplies passed before the war.
Under the cabinet-approved framework, petroleum prices will be based on average international market prices recorded over the preceding seven days. The petroleum levy will remain within the limit approved by the federal cabinet, while any change in the levy will require approval from the Finance Division.
The government has also revised fuel import arrangements for the fiscal year 2026-27. Imports of high-speed diesel will be handled exclusively through Pakistan State Oil, while oil marketing companies will be allowed to import petrol according to their respective market shares.
Companies that fail to meet their import or fuel upliftment obligations may be barred from receiving fresh import permissions for up to nine months.
Prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil will also be determined under the daily pricing mechanism.
