According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a meeting with public representatives belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the province’s overall political situation and the issues faced by the public. Matters related to public welfare, development projects, and governance were also discussed.
The Prime Minister stated that the timely completion of ongoing federal development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the resolution of public issues are among the top priorities of the federal government.
The participants informed the Prime Minister that the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has completely failed, claiming that governance is virtually nonexistent. They stated that the provincial government lacks clear policies regarding health, education, infrastructure, and public welfare and has shown no serious concern for public problems.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif urged the public representatives to make the resolution of public issues their top priority. He recalled that some time ago he distributed laptops on merit among students from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Haripur, expressing happiness over meeting the youth, whom he described as the nation’s future asset. He reaffirmed that the merit-based laptop distribution policy will continue in the future so that young people can play an effective role in the country’s development.
The Prime Minister also announced the formation of a committee under the leadership of Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal to review federal development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The committee will visit Peshawar and meet public representatives to assess progress on these projects.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah, Captain (Retd) Safdar, MNAs Babar Nawaz and Samar Haroon Bilour, and Prime Minister’s Coordinator Ikhtiar Wali.
Former Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi, former Senator Zahid Khan, MPA Dr. Ibadullah, Pir Sabir Shah, former MNA Sardar Mushtaq, former MNAs Shah Ji Gul Afridi and Shahabuddin Khan, Rahmat Salam Khattak, and Bahr-e-Mand Tangi were also present.
