The footage was included in a newly released collection of records related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). In the video, a round or orb-like object can be seen moving quickly across the sky above a densely populated area.
According to case details, experts reviewed the available video and other information but were unable to determine whether the object was a drone, balloon, aircraft, or another known type of aerial vehicle.
U.S. officials said the object displayed some unusual characteristics that could not be fully explained based on the available information. As a result, the incident has been classified as an unresolved case.
However, officials stressed that labeling an incident as unresolved does not mean it is evidence of extraterrestrial life or activity. An unresolved case may simply mean that there was not enough information available to establish what the object was.
The mysterious orb is among dozens of new incidents whose details have recently been made public. Some of the cases involve unusual objects detected in the sky by military sensors and surveillance systems.
U.S. authorities say additional records related to UAP incidents could be released as the review process continues. More files may become publicly available in the coming months.
Interest in UFOs and unidentified aerial phenomena has increased around the world in recent years. Governments have faced growing calls from the public and experts to release more information about such incidents and improve transparency.
For now, however, U.S. officials have not identified the object in the newly released footage and have provided no evidence linking it to extraterrestrial activity.
