According to Indian media reports, the filmmakers have approached several prominent personalities for the project, including Kohli and Sharma.
Co-producer Nimra Singh confirmed that the production team had approached the couple, although their participation has not yet been finalised.
If they agree to join the film, their appearances could reportedly be incorporated into the storyline because of their shared devotion to spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba.
Hanuman Ansh is based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba. Following the reported success of the first film, the makers are planning to expand the project into a three-part series.
A confirmed appearance by Sharma and Kohli would mark the first time the husband-and-wife pair have appeared together in a film.
