According to security sources, the operation was carried out in Saran Tangi on the basis of intelligence reports. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists.
Security sources said operations against terrorists in Balochistan are continuing and Operation Shaban 2 will remain ongoing until the last terrorist is eliminated.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces following the killing of six terrorists in Balochistan.
The prime minister said security forces demonstrated courage and professionalism and foiled the terrorists' nefarious designs. He said Operation Shaban 2 would continue until terrorism is completely eliminated from the country.
Shehbaz Sharif said every attempt to undermine Pakistan's peace, security and development would be foiled, while operations by security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the security forces for the successful operation against terrorists in Balochistan.
Naqvi commended the professional capabilities of the security forces following the killing of six terrorists and said the forces had foiled the nefarious designs of Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists.
The interior minister said the brave personnel of the security forces are a source of pride for the nation and that the nation stands alongside the security forces in the fight against terrorism.
